The Joliet yard is Acme’s premier facility. It spans thirty acres and is located on the Illinois River, allowing us to ship materials by truck, rail and barge. The Joliet facility serves our customers in the southwest suburbs as well as Southern Illinois. We have two balers and three shears to process ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal we purchase from demolition/wrecking companies, scrap dealers and peddlers as well as offering retail service to the surrounding community.
